Fairly nice park for the desert. It was nice to have full hookups, however, water pressure was a bit low. Our campsites were quite spacious. Hot springs were OK. Spent most of our time in the kiddie pool, as the temperature was great. Bottom of that pool was quite rough for my 2 year old son's feet. Hot pool was not very clean and chlorinated. Cold pool was very clean, but quite cold.
This was a very nice campground. It was fairly quiet, our sites were very large, and had a picnic table and fire ring with grill on the end of the fire ring. Water was available through out the campground, just not at individual sites. The website says up to 40' motorhome, but it was a tight fit with our 34'. There were other sites that would have fit us better. The campground hosts were very friendly. I looked in the bathrooms and they looked quite clean. This campground was only about an hour out of San Diego, which made for a very nice weekend getaway.
The GOOD: Tubing down the river was the best part. The people working there were friendly. The BAD: Otherwise the place was full of visitors that can be described as "THUGS FOR LIFE". Campsites were overcrowded. People were chopping wood at 11:30 pm outside our window. Blaring Mexican music was a common occurrence. The bathrooms were filthy. People had pooped in the urinals, which were NOT cleaned. The showers were ONLY cold water with NO shower heads, just a stream shooting out of a straight pipe. There were not nearly enough bathrooms for the number of people in the park. Electrical hookups were shady at best. Our breakers kept popping and it was BARELY enough to keep the RV cool. SUMMATION: We had a good time regardless of the conditions. But I doubt we will be back, as there are plenty of other places in southern California that offer better camping conditions.
The staff was very helpful and courteous. The park was clean. They had 2 dog runs. We camped here while passing through. It seems quite far from the strip, so it may not be a good choice for those wishing to visit Vegas. We would camp here again.
